Standard Fluid’s President Luis Gonzalez is a former Sr. Account Executive at 3M with over 40 years of professional fire suppression experience. He was part of the global team responsible for growing and establishing the global market for 3M’s Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid.

Beginning 1982, Luis served in the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Specialist. Early in his career he worked through an increasingly responsible series of positions including NYC Master Fire Suppression Licensee in New York City. He has worked in most facets of special hazard fire suppression systems including design, installation, testing and maintenance, contract sales and project management. He served as the District Manager for Standard Products, Foam and Engineered Systems with Ansul and started his own Fire Suppression company prior to joining 3M.

Completed studies: Fire Science Management from North Dakota’s State School of Science, University of Phoenix, and a Business Administration/Marketing Degree from Bloomsburg University.

Luis is a member of the Fire Suppression System Association, NFPA, SFPE and participates in regional SFPE and NAFED chapters and provides continuing education courses on Clean Extinguishing Agents across the country.
